Learning to relax

How can i switch off and take time out just for myself, as i don’t know how to relax i’m always so tense and wound up and it stops me sleeping? 

I get asked this question several times a week.

This is one of the tools i will teach you to use in order to help you achieve relaxation.

Now breath in through your nose for the count of two, hold that breath for the count of three, slowly breath out through your mouth for the count of four.

Do that five times, as you feel your shoulders start to drop and that wonderful sensation of calmness sweep over you, just be aware of the space around you and how much better that feels.

Now when your at work or out shopping or i don’t know dealing with a problem and you start to feel that tension coming on, just mentally take a step back and breath in the way you know now works, there are many other tools that you can choose from that i can teach you, and before you know it you will become your own therapist.
